Welcome
Want to make a difference in Waltham Forest?
Amnesty Waltham Forest needs your support. Amnesty International’s vision is of a world in which every person enjoys all the human rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Amnesty Waltham Forest run a fantastic range of events in the local area and by attending you can help towards making this vision a reality.
For those who would like to get involved, Amnesty Waltham Forest has regular meetings where a small, dynamic group of people organize events throughout the year, raise local awareness about human rights, campaign with letter writing and lobbying, and support Amnesty in its global campaigns. Local groups are vital to the work of Amnesty, so whether you're an old hand at grass roots campaigning, or you've never done anything like this at all, please come along. You'll enjoy meeting like-minded people and really making a difference.
We are one of more than 285 local groups that contribute to Amnesty International's work to defend human rights around the world.
We are friendly and energetic group of local people that:
- Raise local awareness about human rights
- Campaign with letter writing and lobbying
- Organise events throughout the year
- Support Amnesty in its global campaigns
Please note that we now meet on the first Tuesday every month; our next meeting will be:
